Makar Sankranti Celebrations at Avaali
Makar Sankranti, Lohri, Bihu, Pongal is the harvest festival celebrated across India. Many states in India celebrate to announce the harvest season by making Rangoli outside their houses in various designs, colours and hues. Rangoli is also know as “muggu” or “kolam” in South India and and comprises of simple to intricate designs enhanced with color power and decorated with flowers. To celebrate the festivities of the season and bring in the spirit of the festival at work, we had a rangoli competition in the office. We had four teams that participated with a lot of enthusiasm and fun. Here are some snapshots captured from the festive moments at Avaali!
