Process innovation within enterprises is increasing acceleration, as enterprises are looking to connect the shop floor to the top floor seamlessly. We’re amidst the fourth wave of technological advancement, as sensors, machines, IT systems and people are connected across the value chain, beyond the walls of the enterprise.
This edition is a part of the three-month series focused on the topic of “Connected Enterprise and Industry 4.0”. We’re covering how Industry 4.0 technology is shaping various industries including some use cases, and how the future is expected to look like. We’ll cover videos, interviews from subject matter experts and experiences from CXO’s.
This edition carries an interesting video from OpenText (a leader in Information Management) covering the ‘Connected Factory” use case, involving IoT as well as Augmented / Virtual Reality in combination with the OpenText EIM platform. This was delivered during OpenText’s Innovation Tour event in Munich sometime during mid of April.
If your company has done some interesting innovations in this area or if you have ideas to share with our audiences, we welcome your comments and views. Please do write in to me and I’d be happy to publish it upon approval by our editorial team.
