Welcome to the September edition of Illuminar.

This edition carries a story on enterprise data archiving. We focus on the challenges in managing ever-growing enterprise data and the good practices in enterprise data archiving.

This edition features perspectives from Mr. Satyendra Pati Tripathi, Vice President IT & CIO, Emami Agrotech Limited, which is the edible oil and bio-diesel arm of Emami Group of Companies, the business conglomerate based in Kolkata, India. Mr. Satyendra provides interesting views on digital transformation for superior business performance and the evolving role of a CIO from IT service delivery to a more strategic position.

This edition also features perspectives from Sudeep Mohan, Senior Director – GBS (Controllership), Flipkart, which is a leading e-commerce company based out of Bangalore, India. Mr. Sudeep provides interesting views on the impact of COVID-19 on the shared services operating model and the factors that enterprises should look into for building a matured shared services center.
