EDITOR’S LETTER
Chatbots are revolutionizing the way humans interact with technology to reduce complex processes into a set of simple conversations. According to Gartner, by 2020, the average person will have more conversations with bots than with their spouse. I sincerely do hope this doesn’t turn out to be true.
In an enterprise context, chatbots are significantly bringing down cycle time to processes and reducing costs. This edition focuses on how enterprises are leveraging chatbots to run business processes in a far more agile way, reducing costs and providing customers rich experiences to engage with the brand. Chatbots of the future, are likely to increasingly incorporate Artificial Intelligence in a way that that the user will not even be aware that they are interacting with a bot. The article also explores the future of chatbots and some interesting innovations in this space.
This edition also features an interview with Mr. Ankur Agrawal, Founder and CEO of Inhabitr, a designer furniture rental company based in Chicago. Ankur shares some insights on trends in customer experience together with some innovations they have done.
We do hope you enjoy this edition. Thanks much for your ongoing feedback and wish you a lovely day!
