How an innovative approach can change the hiring game for companies

Sometimes ditching traditional methods and adopting a totally new approach with respect to the evolving cultures can work wonders. Who knows if companies can get the right candidates through different policies?

The movie Social Network—based on Mark Zuckerberg’s story of creating Facebook—is of the perspective that sometimes companies can get their finest employees from the most unbelievable ways and this can be one of the reasons for the HR leaders to bring innovation into the hiring process.

With the evolving work culture, organizations are also evolving their recruitment process. For instance, over time, the hiring process has evolved from hard resume copies to soft resume copies and now even social media and video resumes. To match the pace of the changing work culture, some companies have rebuilt their recruitment technology and are on a hiring spree even amid the pandemic.

Sparsh Kaur, Chief of Staff, AgNext Technologies, said, “During the pandemic, when there was a spike in job losses, we went contrarian in our hiring approach, by increasing our workforce in multitudes, prompted by our business needs. To fulfil these requirements, we increased our hiring up to 200 positions for operational positions and for technical/digital/core positions by 75 more. Also, to introduce young talent to the company, we have introduced various intern programmes over the last year, leading to internships for over 100 students across various departments.”
