EDITOR’S LETTER
The debate of human vs machines has only been increasingly progressing in the last few years, with a surge in digital innovation and the associated opening of immense possibilities with digital. Big data debates are more about how human judgement could be potentially replaced with machines. The role of intuition in interpreting data vs. using algorithms to test the hypothesis to know whether the intuition is correct is still work in progress. While the results from such initiatives still remains to be widely seen, there is no doubt anymore that repetitive, labor intensive tasks will be replaced by machines by the turn of this decade.

Its use cases have seen applicability across sales, fraud detection, security authentication, HR, Marketing, personal assistant to intelligence tools. Autonomous self- supporting AI’s are in fact threatening to totally re-shape the way industries operate, and its larger impact on economies including jobs.
